Yesterday I went to Apollo Hospital for my cousin who had to get a scan done. The entire hospital was brimming over with people from all parts of India and there were absurdly long queues with everyone speaking over the other and all in different languages!!! LOl...It was chaotic.Anyway coming to the point. We were asked to fill in a registration form for 'Necessary Details' and we were asked for which caste we were !!! How does it matter?/?? really!! I mean...how would that be a necessary detail.I was so put off! I wanted to leave it blank but then decided to write down Hindu/Christian/Muslim now what?? Then we were asked how much annual income we earned!!?? atleast that I can understand for people below the poverty line, because maybe...just maybe theres some free medication or rebated medication but then for the others it seems as if these people are fleecing every penny out of them and they ask for how much we earn so they can fleece accordingly I suppose...Within a simple scan and doctors visit, you would be down by atleast 5000/-!!
No doubt the best medical services and doctors are available here but in many other services they have to improve and advance...

Yes ofcourse. The religion is not a necessary detail. Even the annual salary is also not necessary. Below the poverty line people will not goto Apollo. Their choice is always Stanley or Central. The registration form having 5 pages is just simply wasting of time.

Just to keep us occupied , I think . but you could have asked them right ? They might as well come up with fields for ur webpage , books of interest someday .atleast that would be fun :p

a scan is normally around 3000 bucks but 2000 bucks for a specialist consultation is a tad too much .
